Thanks to the efforts
of both Maxwill Race Engines and BR Motorsports, Australian
Steve Lines is set to next month contest a number of
410 Sprintcar shows driving the Jeff McCall owned #
23 JSM Enterprises J&J.
Currently running in
the American Sprint Car Series (ASCS) Rebel Region,
Lines is going to get an opportunity to run a 410 engine
via the support of Maxwill Race Engines and BR Motorsports.
In late August, Lines
is set to compete at Sharon Speedway (Hartford, IA)
on Saturday night, August 23, and then at Lennerville
Speedway (Saver, PA) the following Friday night, August
29. The latter show is scheduled to be a round of the
All Star Sprint Car Series.
Lines and his team have
opted to run the 410 shows at tracks similar to home
rather than go to the large tracks such as Knoxville
Raceway or Eldora Speedway.
“I think it’s going
to be more beneficial to start off running at the smaller
sized tracks that are like the ones back home,” Lines
expressed.
“That way it is going
to be better off, and that will help me grow in confidence
and allow me to get settled.
“Maybe later on I might
venture out to the bigger tracks, but at this stage
I’m content with running at the smaller tracks.”
Aside from Maxwill Race
Engines and BR Motorsports, Lines would like to say
a special thanks to Dave Challons from Camden Neon Signs.
So far on his American
tour Lines has been based in the American Sprint Car
Series (ASCS) Rebel Region and achieved some very impressive
results, which included two feature race wins.
