After enjoying an impressive
trip thus far, Australian Steve Lines is hoping to continue
that success when he contests this weekend’s ‘360’ Knoxville
Nationals at Knoxville Raceway (Knoxville, IA).
Running in the ‘360’
American Sprint Car Series (ASCS) Rebel Region, Lines
has so far recorded two feature race wins and has recorded
multiple Top 5 results also driving the Jeff McCall
owned # 23 JSM Enterprises backed J&J.
This weekend at the
‘360’ Knoxville Nationals, however, will certainly be
a big task for Lines, and he has set his goal at qualifying
for the feature race on Saturday night.
“It’s going to be tough,
that’s for sure, you are going to have the best of best
drivers competing in this event, so that is going to
be a challenge to say the least,” Lines commented.
“If I can get a good
run in qualifying on Friday night and then do well my
heat race I’m hoping I can do enough to make the feature
race line up.
“Running at Knoxville
Raceway is also exciting, as it’s regarded as the best
track in the world, and I cannot to go out there and
give it my best shot.”
Lines will compete on
the Friday night’s (August 1) qualifying for the ‘360’
Knoxville Nationals in order to make it through to the
feature race the following night.
