Australian
Steve Lines has commenced his racing over the weekend
in America where he finished third and eighth respectively
in his first two feature races in the American Sprintcar
Series Rebel Region for 360s.
On
Friday night (June 20) at Oglethorpe Speedway Park,
Savannah, GA, Lines made his debut aboard the JSM Enterprises,
Jeff McCall owned, J&J and finished the 25-lap feature
race in third place on the podium of the American Sprintcar
Series Rebel Region round. Earlier in the night Lines
had finished his heat race (8 laps) in fifth place.
The
following night (June 21) Lines trekked over to Swainsboro
Raceway, Swainsboro GA, for the next round of the American
Sprintcar Series and on this occasion he finished the
feature race in eighth place and it was done without
the use of brakes after he had started from the middle
of the field.

Throughout
the night at Swainsboro Raceway Lines battled brake
issues and had to run the entire 25 lap feature race
without them. Lines’ problems with brakes occurred during
his heat race (8 laps) where he finished fourth.
