South
Australian Steve Lines has arrived in America and is
now focusing on his ‘360’ Sprintcar debut that is set
to take place this Friday night (June 20) at Oglethorpe
Speedway Park in Savannah, GA.
Over
the past week since his arrival in America, Lines has
been spending time with J&J Auto Racing boss Jack
Elam organising the shipment of six brand new J&J’s
to Australia for a number of competitors.
Lines
met up with JSM Enterprises Jeff McCall, who is going
to be Lines’ car owner for the entire trip, at Cherryville
NC over the weekend and that is where he is to be based
for the next three months.
This
Tuesday night (June 17) former World of Outlaws champion
and now NASCAR driver Dave Blaney is to campaign the
McCall owned J&J that Lines is set to drive at Sharon
Speedway, Hartford, Ohio, in the opening round of the
Ollie’s Bargain Outlet ‘360’ Challenge. Lines will then
make his debut in the ‘360’ Sprintcar ranks with the
car that Blaney drove this coming Friday night at Oglethorpe
Speedway Park.

“I
cannot wait to get out there for my first run, and just
get amongst it,” Lines enthused.
“Since
I have arrived I have been organising with Jack Elam
for half a dozen J&J’s to be shipped over to Australia,
and now that is all sorted, I can now focus on what
I’m here for, and that is racing.”
Stay
tuned for regular updates throughout Lines’ American
tour.
