South
Australian Steve Lines is set to embark on his very
first American Sprintcar racing trip that will commence
at the end of next month where he is to drive for well
known car owner Jeff McCall in one of his J&J Sprintcars
that will be powered by ‘360’ Garrett Racing Engines
prepared powerplant.
Based
out of the JSM Enterprises, which is owned by McCall,
in Cherryville, NC Lines is set to start his trip in
late June and wrap up at in early October, where the
23-year-old from Mt. Gambier in South Australia will
compete in a total of 24 race meetings throughout nine
states of America.
The
highlight race meeting for Lines on his tour is to be
in early August when he will compete at the famed Knoxville
Raceway for the running of the 2008 Knoxville ‘360’
Nationals.

As
one would expect Lines is very exciting about his maiden
American racing trip.
“I
must first of all thank everyone that helped make this
trip happen,” Lines expressed.
“This
is a wonderful opportunity to give me some more racing
experience, and I’m looking to grab it [the opportunity]
with both hands.
“The
main aim is to just learn as much as possible, and I
haven’t set any goals, I just want to go out and there
and see how things go.”
McCall
is a highly regarded car owner and has fielded cars
for ex World of Outlaws champion now NASCAR driver Dave
Blaney.
Lines
would like to say a special thanks to Jeff McCall for
the opportunity to drive one of his cars and Jack Helm
from J&J Auto Racing for organising the deal.
